Maxcess International has recently made two recruitments. In the first, Steve Chapman has been named the local representative for North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Chapman’s background in selling and servicing machined parts in the tooling industry, coupled with his outstanding professional sales and customer-centric track record, make him the perfect fit for replacing Mike Flannigan after his promotion. Mr. Chapman brings extensive knowledge and experience to the converting and web handling industry, with more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and technical product management. He has received extensive training on all Fife, MAGPOWR and Tidland products and can offer valuable knowledge to help customers with their web guiding, winding, slitting, inspection or tension control process.

Additionally, Maxcess has promoted Scott Haney to director of engineering. Mr. Haney will lead all engineering initiatives for Fife guiding and inspection equipment, and MAGPOWR brakes, clutches and tension control products. Mr. Haney brings more than 15 years of manufacturing and industrial experience to his new position, including several engineering and management positions where he has provided product development strategy and brand leadership. Most recently, he served as the product manager for MAGPOWR tension control and just prior to that as the director of engineering and director of operations at VAC Corporation. Roger Beaman retired from Foster Needle at the end of June after 25 years with the company. Mr. Beaman joined Foster Needle in 1981 when the company acquired the barbed needle division of Needle Industries, where he had worked for more than 20 years. Upon joining Foster Needle, he became sales director of Foster Needle, Ltd., England. His positions have since included sales director, manufacturing director and managing director.
